Quality Assurance
Our integrated quality control system ensures that Poppies is a factory that delivers top quality products at competitive prices.
The basics of our top quality products are a 25 year old internationally appreciated bakery tradition, the expertise and the creativity of our master bakers, the use of only the best and strictly controlled ingredients and ultra modern machinery.
The entire process, from the supply of the ingredients until the delivery of the finished goods to the client, is continuously being monitored. Hence, strict specifications are required at every stage.
Traceability samples are taken from each production run. These are systematically controlled for microbiology, colour, taste, shape and product life.
Quality is taken seriously at Poppies.
Since 1995, all Poppies production processes have complied with the HACCP specification standards. And that is not all. Further efforts have meant the attainment of the ISO 9002 Certificate in 1998.
Since 1997, Poppies has held an EFSIS Inspection Certificate (European Food Safety Inspection Service), for which a “higher level” distinction was awarded in 2000.
In addition to the superior quality that is guaranteed by the Belgian Quality Level, our laboratories, supervised by the Quality Assurance Manager, are in charge of New Product Development. Following its market-oriented philosophy, Poppies seeks out new opportunities and continuously aims at upgrading its existing product range.
